I’m Toni Marroni, a techno music producer from Cagliari, Sardinia, made a life-altering decision: to travel the world alphabetically, immersing myself in the energy of each city and translating those unique vibes into music. As a music-production nomad, I aim to visit the world’s most vibrant places, drawing inspiration from their histories, cultures, and pulsating atmospheres to create one techno track per destination.
This journey is more than just travel. It’s about tapping into the essence of each place and channeling its energy into music. My first stop: Athens, the cradle of ancient history, where the sacred meets the chaotic. Here, amidst the ruins of the Acropolis and the gritty streets of Exarchia, I found the perfect balance of past and present — a balance that now pulses through the beats of my first track, to be released on DEEPBEATS Records.
Each city on my itinerary has been chosen for its cultural and spiritual significance, its energy, and its unique place in the global music landscape. After Athens comes Berlin, the epicenter of the techno world, where I will delve into the raw and industrial soundscapes that define the city. From there, I’ll head to Ibiza, the island where electronic music reigns supreme, and then onward to places like Detroit, Kyoto, and Xi’an, always seeking the mystical, the historical, and the avant-garde.
But this journey isn’t just about music. Alongside each track, I’ll be writing about my experiences — capturing the mystical essence of each city, its historical depth, and how it influences my creative process.
